These patented connectors are quickly explained: The standard Flexible tubes (which are all made with brass parts) are left out completely and only these stainless steel connectors are screwed in, where you can then use a plug-in adapter (like VZRRDM1X4IN or VZRRDM8X6MM) to connect the plastic hose from the filter directly to the fitting. So you have no contact of the water with other metals except AISI316 V4 surgical steel!
